FAQs

What does it mean to be part of this celebration?

1

This day for us is more than just about exchanging vows. It’s about gathering together the people who have helped shape our lives and our journey.

Whether you've known us for years, or are new friends, we're honored to have you with us as we begin this next chapter. We hope you'll come ready to celebrate, connect, and make new memories alongside us.

Why "Forged in Love"?

2

The Foundry is a historic ironworking mill, and from the moment we stepped inside, it felt like the perfect reflection of our story.

Like iron, the strongest things are shaped over time: through patience, pressure, growth, and care. "Forged in Love" became our way of honoring not only our relationship, but the family and community that helped shape it.

Throughout the evening, you'll find small nods to this theme woven into the evening.

When should I arrive?

3

Please plan to arrive no later than 4:30 PM.

Our ceremony will begin promptly at 5:00 PM, and we would love for everyone to be seated and settled before it starts.

Guests arriving after the ceremony has begun will be asked to wait to enter until the ceremony has concluded.

Where will the ceremony and reception take place?

4

Both the ceremony and reception will take place at the same venue.

Following the ceremony, guests will enjoy cocktail hour before dinner and the evening celebration. The reception will begin at approximately 8:30 PM.

What time does the celebration end?

5

The evening concludes at 11:00 PM.

What should I wear to the Foundry?

6

The dress code is Formal Attire.

Traditional cultural attire is warmly encouraged for those who wish to wear it.

This is your invitation to have some fun with your look. This is not the time for overly traditional, muted formalwear. We would love for you to embrace rich colors, interesting textures, thoughtful tailoring: the statement piece sitting in the back of your closet that make you feel your best. In other words, put that sh*t on.

Metallic accents and jewel tones are especially welcome, though not required.

We kindly ask guests to avoid white, ivory, cream, or off-white.

Can I bring a guest?

7

Due to the intimate nature of our celebration, we are only able to accommodate the individuals whose names appear on the invitation.

If a guest's name is not listed on the invitation, we unfortunately will not be able to extend an invitation.

What about my children?

8

Children under the age of three do not need to be included in the RSVP count. If you plan to bring a child over the age of three, please let us know when completing your RSVP in the comments section.

How do I RSVP?

9

Please submit an RSVP for each person whose name appears on the invitation.

The RSVP form allows us to collect meal preferences and other important details for each guest individually, so we appreciate everyone taking a moment to complete their own response.

Please RSVP by July 1.

How do I share dietary restrictions or allergies?

10

Please include any dietary restrictions, allergies, or accommodations needed when completing your RSVP.

Our family-style dinner will include options for a variety of dietary needs, and we want everyone to feel comfortable and well cared for.

For the ceremony specifically, we kindly ask all guests to keep their phones tucked away.

We have hired professionals to capture the moment, and we'd love for everyone to be fully present with us as we exchange our vows.

For the remainder of the evening, you are welcome to take photos. We encourage you to capture and share your memories with us.

12

Please visit our travel page for hotel room block information, and additional lodging options.

How should I get to the venue?

13

Transportation to the venue will be the responsibility of the guests.

Street parking is generally plentiful and free on Sundays, though guests should always check posted signage, as local parking regulations remain in effect.

For convenience, we recommend using a rideshare service if possible.

Our recommended hotels are located within approximately ten minutes of the venue.

Which airport should I fly into?

14

We highly recommend flying into LaGuardia Airport (LGA), the closest airport to the venue. It is about a 20 minute drive to the venue & Boro hotel.

Alternatively, you can also fly into John F. Kennedy International Airport (35 min drive) or Newark Liberty International Airport (50 min drive)
